Saturday Sketches: Random Ideas

Maybe I should be calling this lettering practices rather than sketches. I miss doodling, but so far, only letters come out of my markers. No worries though, I love making curvy letters, it's so feminine. Don't you guys think I'm getting better at lettering?
You guys might be wondering what are all those quotes. I've been reading a lot of Wanderrgirl's post lately and been watching a lot, when I say a lot madami talaga, of vlogs in youtube. Gosh, I've been in love with vlogs. I think it's an addiction. Imagine, some of their sayings pop into my head while randomly sketching stuff.
Been watching a lot of podcast from the New Media Factory and they have globe as their sponsor. Don't you just think Project Wonderful is such a nice name. Ala, fairy tale ang peg

Saturday Sketches: Faces

Photo taken with my phone(myphone Iceberg)

It has been a while since I picked up my sketch notebook and actually drew something. They're not good, actually they're super rough. But I love them.

Saturday Sketches: Wanderlust

Saturday Sketches is a new segment here in my blog where I share doodles, scribbles, and etc that I have written down in my journal. I always try to bring it with me wherever I go. It serves as an outlet for my creative juices or just to put ideas on paper. I think all of my sketches are very personal and sometimes I don’t have any message in some of my scribbles, it is just how I feel at that exact moment.

For this week, I'll share a late night sketch I did. I was really feeling overwhelmed by the desire to travel. I've never been anywhere outside the Philippines before, maybe that's the reason why I felt such a need to explore.

TCFS 1st: CoolGirls Makeup MAKEUP WORKSHOP

Imagine getting an e-mail that you're one of the luck participants of the free make-up workshop. Isn't it nice? I swear, I mentally jumped and did a somersault.

Anyway, Too Cool For School is Korean make-up brand with an exceptionally beautiful store. It really stands out from the rest of Korean brands here in the Philippines.

Saturdate

I haven't seen my friend for a while now. I missed her and it was so much fun cam whoring with her. Man, how things have changed. Everything changes but with just a matter of one year a great deal of changes happened. Sometimes, I get caught up with walking down memory lane. Yes, I'm sentimental like that.

The Happiness Code

I've been reading  the book of Domonique Bertolucci "The Happiness Code" for some time now. I must say, I like it. I was planning to do a lettering project with the ten keys but I would rather finish the book first. But since I really want to share it and post it on my Instagram, I made theses:

Congratulations

No words can describe how proud I am of my friends, especially to one of my friends that got an UNO for her thesis. It's so heartwarming that somehow I was there to help her. I was able to assist her twice in her shoots and it is such a great honor and privilege to have been able to help her a little in her journey.

To see more of her works visit her facebook accout.

Anyway, here are some literal behind the scenes photos of her shoot.

If you want to see more of her works you can check it out her 500px.

Messing Around!

I really like the messing around with Photoshop. You can get a make-over by just lifting a finger and without the hassle, but of course, it's all digital. For a visual person such as myself, I really want to see what I'll look like if I had my hair colored. I never had it colored, but my hair did went through a lot straightening with chemicals.I stopped it though, straight hair doesn't work with me anymore. Now, I'm all for my naturally wavy-ish hair. Sometimes, I really thing some people's hair has a life of its own--like mine.

I can totally look weird without having the hassle of damaging my hair. Lol

2014 Focus Word

I've been in a dark place last year, to be exacted I've allowed myself to be swallowed by my own insecurities. It's like I've allowed myself to completely stop living. I've been staying here in my room locking myself in it. But now, I've decided to just go and step out of my comfort zone. I can't forever be a professional "tambay". I need to be productive and actually go start living my life as a member of society.

This year my plan is to just grab every opportunity I can get, hopefully I don't get disheartened. I know it's now February, but it's never too late to start anything.
